Ika
Ika is a small fisherman place, making part of Opatija Riviera. In the center of it you will find nice hotel, with nice pebble beach nearby. The place is characterized by the vicinity of all the centers of Opatija Riviera (Ičići, Opatija and Kastav on the left side and Lovran, Medveja and Mošćenička Draga on the right side). The residents of Ika are descendants of Illiryans, also known as skilled sailors and builders. They were in this area until the arrival of Romans and after them Ostrogoths, Byzantine, Slaves in 7th century, Franks and in the 14th century Habsburg family. At the end of 19th century modern villas and summer resorts were built.
